Central Montcalm Hornets JV Can’t Hold Up Against Fremont
Central Montcalm Hornets JV struggled to get their offense going on Friday, getting easily dispatched by Fremont, 14-4.
Central Montcalm Hornets JV got on the board in the first inning. Central Montcalm Hornets JV scored one run when DJ Kutzli doubled.
In the bottom of the first inning, Fremont tied things up at two when Jager Kibart singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Fremont pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Ian Veenstra singled on a 3-0 count, scoring one run, Hiro Ichioka singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, and Joe Kortge tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Logan Nelson was on the hill for Fremont. He went four innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, striking out eight and walking zero.
Cole DeLamater led things off on the hill for Central Montcalm Hornets JV. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs. Jordan Ralph threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Central Montcalm Hornets JV tallied eight hits. Kutzli and Kyle Jordan all managed multiple hits for Central Montcalm Hornets JV. Jordan and Kutzli each collected two hits to lead Central Montcalm Hornets JV.
Fremont totaled 19 hits. Parker Lammers, Veenstra, Kortge, Ty Spickerman, Nelson, Tommy Sparks, and Ichioka each racked up multiple hits for Fremont. Fremont was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Lammers had the most chances in the field with eight.
