Bats were blistered on Tuesday, but Central Montcalm Hornets JV couldn’t quite get the job done against Belding and lost 19-9.
The Central Montcalm Hornets JV struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Belding, giving up 19 runs.
Central Montcalm Hornets JV got things started in the first inning when Jordan Ralph singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Belding pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Belding, Debryn drew a walk, scoring one run, Meyer singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Lake doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, and Baylis singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Baylis was on the mound for Belding. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits, striking out four and walking one.
Cole DeLamater was on the hill for Central Montcalm Hornets JV. He surrendered seven runs on three hits over two innings. Tristan DeHart and Isaac Hustin entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
