Varsity Football team defeated by Lakeview 42-8

The Varsity football team was defeated by Lakeview 42-8.  Defensively the Hornets were led by Aiden Train with 11 tackles and Tyler Gils with 9 tackles.  Blake Ryan had the lone Hornet touchdown and CJ Denman scored the two point conversion.  The Varsity finished the season 2-7 overall and 2-5 in the CSAA.

Junior Varsity Football team defeated Lakeview 56-0

The JV Football team defeated Lakeview 56-0 ending their season with a 6-2-1 record. The Varsity Football team lost 62-6 Friday evening to CSAA Gold Champion Reed City.  Blake Ryan threw for 98 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Wenger had 78 yards receiving and lone TD reception. The JV Football team lost to Reed City 68-32.  The score was 30-26 at the half. Leading rusher was Teague Stander with 170 yards and 2TDs.  Leading passer was Andrew Johnson as he was 8-13 for 181 yards a PAT and also 1 Int.  Leading receiver was Teague Stander with 102 yards and 1 TD. 

JV Football beats Chippewa Hills 22-14

The JV football team beat Chippewa Hills last night 22-14.  Leading on the ground was Teague Stander rushing for 176 yards on 13 carries, 1 TD and 1 PAT.  Andrew Johnson rushed for 37 yards, 2 TD’s and a PAT.  He also was 8-10 on passing for 89 yards.  Trey Chapin caught 4 passes for

Varsity Football Wins Homecoming Game 66-30

The Varsity Football team defeated Fremont Friday evening 66-30.  The offense produced over 350 yards of offense in a team effort  with several players scoring on the evening.  The Hornets will host Big Rapids at home this Friday.

JV Football defeated Fremont 22-6

JV football team traveled to Fremont and came away with a 22-6 victory.  After a sluggish first half, JV football team dominated the entire second half to secure the win. Andrew Johnson threw for a TD and 2 PAT.  Trey Chapin caught and rushed for TD’s.  Micah Johnson ran for 113 yards on 14 carries.

The JV Football team beat a undefeated Grant tea. 6-2.  The entire JV Defense swarmed all night long lead by Teague Stander with 9 tackles, Brock Ryan and Andrew Johnson with 8 tackles each.  Andrew Johnson, Mason Wellman, and Trey Chapin all had interceptions, with Dillon Weston having two fumble recovery’s and two sacks also.
